Our Approach in India

Since its establishment in 2008, our company has been practicing a Japan-India collaborative management style that combines Japanese management (solidity with a strong emphasis on compliance) with Indian management (advanced network utilization, communication skills, and breakthrough ability). As the only Japanese-owned comprehensive insurance broker in India (capable of handling all types of insurance), we have grown to become one of the top 10 companies in the industry (out of 800 companies in total).

Furthermore, in February 2025, Toyota Tsusho increased its stake in our joint venture, Vikram Geet Investments and Holdings, from 26% to 51%, becoming the majority shareholder.

Moving forward, aiming to become India's No. 1 broker, we will continue to grow by focusing on portfolio management (diversification of revenue sources) to become "the insurance broker that customers consistently choose," and with our important mission of "supporting people's prosperous lives through insurance" in mind, we will make an even greater contribution to the development of the Indian insurance industry.

Solutions

Responding to insurance premium reductions
Since you can obtain quotes from all property and casualty insurance companies and life insurance companies in India, you can verify the reasonableness of insurance premiums and negotiate for reductions.
Responding to the review and expansion of compensation coverage
Since our founding in 2008, we have served many Japanese companies, including Toyota Group companies. Leveraging this accumulated expertise, we are able to secure optimal coverage from various insurance companies to provide the Japanese-level compensation that Japanese companies demand.
Support in the event of an accident
Unlike in Japan, accidents in India often result in disputes, and it can take several years for insurance payments to be made. In India, accident investigation reports by third-party surveyors are used to determine liability and the amount of insurance payout. Therefore, we negotiate directly with the surveyor on behalf of our clients when an accident occurs. In particular, a large number of necessary documents are required, so we also manage the progress of submitting each document.
Our services include conducting surveys of hospital networks under health insurance, analyzing complaint content, and organizing health seminars and other events by our doctors.
We can negotiate to expand the hospital network available to our clients, conduct on-site investigations of hospitals with poor service, and provide health seminars by our doctors depending on the nature of the complaint.
Toyota Tsusho India Group provides support for issues other than insurance.
While our main business is insurance brokerage, we are part of the Toyota Tsusho India Group, a general trading company. Therefore, if you have any problems in areas other than insurance, we can introduce you to our group companies and related parties. As the Toyota Tsusho India Group, we have over 30 group companies and approximately 90 expatriates stationed at various locations, allowing us to obtain a wide range of information and guide you to the most suitable solution according to your needs.

Local Team

Our company has a total of approximately 300 employees, including 5 Japanese staff and 1 Korean staff member who are qualified insurance brokers. We have 9 branches in major cities throughout India (Bangalore Headquarters, Delhi, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Indore, and Kolkata), and we are responsible for approximately 350 Japanese companies and approximately 70 Korean companies.

Strengths and Features

One of our revenue sources is providing comprehensive support for automobile dealerships' automobile insurance sales (brand insurance programs), and we are able to make a certain level of contribution to the value chain of automobile dealerships.

Recently, we have successfully launched the first telematics insurance and long-term contracts in India, demonstrating our commitment to staying ahead of the curve in this region. Not only in India, but in emerging economies in general, we are currently experiencing what Japan once went through, and we believe that there are still opportunities to seize business opportunities in the future, as we can predict what will come next.
